A First For Me
Well, I'm sure many of you have done far more, but I have recently starting running and just completed my first 10k! I was slower than tar and came in like 178th out of 193! But I was pretty proud of myself for not stopping even once. I'm trying to work on speed now...maybe a half marathon in the spring? There's nothing like running and sweating to make a great picture...ugh.

Did anyone ever notice?
So I was flipping through the channels the other night and Back to the Future III (I think, the one where he goes to the Old West) was on. Well, I guess it's shortly after Marty's arrival in town at the big town gathering celebrating the clock, right before it shows ZZ Top (another thing I never noticed) and there is music playing - does anyone know what the melody was?? It's to the same tune as the Manti High school song! Wow!! Who knew? I sure didn't ever notice but I thought it was kinda funny so I'm sharing my pointless information with the rest of you.
You are welcome! ;)

Music Memories
If you'd like, leave a comment about any song you remember from things such as 8th grade high school recognition, our graduation song, etc. and I'll add it to the music. I have apparently blocked all of that out cause I can't seem to remember!!
I added electric slide cause I remember having to learn that (along with the Chicken Dance)! Thanks Mrs. Reid - that was awesome.
THANK You!
.... GO UTES!!! Football seasons here!

LeAnn's Update
Hi everyone! This is a great way to catch up on old classmates! I love seeing the pictures of pets and children and what everyone is doing these days.
We're living in Norfolk, Virginia, right now. It's such a long way from home but we are really enjoying it here and making lots of new friends. We moved here in December after a short stint in Manti (for the kids and me) while my husband was at boot camp and tech school with the Navy. I kind of feel like we got on the boat (~wink wink~) a little late but he's working hard and moving his way up fairly quickly.
Here's a picture of our 9 year old Tyler. He played soccer this spring and keeps busy with Cub Scouts (we're his den leaders). He'll be heading off to 4th grade in just a few weeks.
This is a picture of Colin (2 1/2) and our baby Kirsten. She's going on 5 months old now. We waited a long time for our little Colin to join our family so we were quite shocked to find out that I was expecting Kirsten after not even trying! SURPRISE!I get to stay home with the kiddos and love it! I used to do lots of things like scrapbooking and cardmaking but who has the time these days? I'm up to my elbows in diapers and Hot Wheels.

Well summer is almost over and we thought that we might post since we have been slackers since February. Everybody is doing well. Savannah is getting more cute and fiesty everyday. I would be fiesty too if my teeth were breaking through. :) Abbey and Annie love the outdoors and would spend every minute outside if they had the chance. Nicole has continued to be the great mom and supportive wife that she is. I am just finishing school which hopefully will be done with my Masters in Education with emphasis in Administration by next summer.
We have been pretty busy with baby blessings, family reunions, camping, and holidays this summer. It seems like I get more of a break during the school year. I wish we could have made it up to the Scandanavian Festival this year. Everytime I read Rachel's post about the finger lickin' turkey my mouth waters. Anyhoo, I hope that everyone has had a great summer and our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Come and visit my blogspot
Hello everyone. I hope that you are all having a wonderful summer. I have been working hard at learning how to blog and I would like to invite you to visit my site and see what my family is up to lately. http://cnfawcettfam.blogspot.com
I have had it pivate until now but I think that it will be ok to make it public since most of my family and friends have theirs that way. So come visit and let me know what you think.
Enjoy your summer!

And Thus it Begins
How lame of me to say, this is my very first time posting a blog....ever. But, here goes. I am super excited that so many people are using this, I am loving reading about all y'all. (Sorry, I guess people in Utah aren't allowed to say y'all...)
Quick update on me, I work from HOME now! Yippee! I have been self-employed, processing mortgages for the past two years, but just moved my office home 2 weeks ago and I am LOVING it. The puppy appreciates not having to stay in her kennel all day as well (Mountain Jane)
Jeffrey travels for work but when he's home he's having a lot of fun with his on-the-side job, promoting and doing book signings for his book (check it out at seeyououtthere.com) The photo on that website was just the beginning of his long hair and beard phase. It got a lot....bigger....from there. He definitely looked like a mountain man. Gratefully (on my part) he got called to be the mission prep teacher and had to shave it all off!
The picture of us is from right before we headed down the Grand Canyon in February... 3 days later when we climbed back out, we weren't quite so cute! It was 15 degrees that AM and there was snow on the trail for 3 miles - but it was a great trip. We went with my dad and Dave, my brother.

This picture of Jane is from an overnight backpacking trip to Blind Lake in the Boulder Mountains just a couple of weeks ago. We hit the lake right at ice off, which apparently is great for those of us who fish (not me).
Who Remembers This?

Sanpete BBQ Turkey
Hey everyone that comes to Ephraim this weekend come say hi to me. I will be cooking BBQ turkey as usual with my (entire) Anderson family. You can't miss us just follow the smoke and the long lines. It's finger lick'n good! We have been doing this for almost 20 years now. I am looking forward to being there since I missed it last year. So if you're in town come say hi on Saturday. (Oh and if you want turkey come by right after the parade before the line gets big!)

Hey did I get this right?
Hi everyone! I don't know if this will work. I am not very good at blogging. But I am willing to learn. So cool to see how you all are doing. So many cute kids, I can't beleive it. Well I have four kids of my own, Katherine, Abbigale, Madelyn, and Thomas (who was born Jan 5 2008). We are doing well. We just moved to Richfield, Utah from Las Vegas. Woah culture change. But I am loving it. We live right by one of the elementary schools so my girls are always over there playing on the toys. My baby boy is growing too fast. He is almost 4 months old. My husband is a civil engineer for Jones and DeMille engineering, and I am a stay at home mom. This is a great idea, it is nice to see how you all are doing!

A Surprise Visit
Matt came home for his 18 days leave last month. It was a great surprise for the boys. We had a great time being together as a family. We vacationed down to Zion's but mostly just enjoyed everyday life together. He is half way done with his deployment now, only seven months to go, hooray!

Dyreng's a Dookie
After flying all around the country to interview at 11 different universities, I decided to stay close to home and take a job in Duke's business school. I'll get to teach MBA students from all over the world, and part of my job will take me to Europe for a week or two each year.
You can find more details on chelsea's blog. We are really excited to finally have a job, settle in a little more here in North Carolina, buy a house, etc. The other nice thing is that we won't have to change wards.

Out in the sun...er snow.
This was a great idea to put together. It is interesting to see what everyone is up to. Normally this is not my cup of tea to write about what we are doing, so I am just going to put a short video and hope that it is true when they say that a picture reveals a thousand words. Things are great down here in St. George. It actually snowed once as you will be able to see. Pretty amazing for these part of the woods. Savannah is starting to take on her older sisters and claw the living tar out of them. It serves them right for trying to pick her up and play dolls with her. :) Annie is loving her dance class and is becoming quite the ballerina. Abbey can't wait for T-ball to start up. She is talking about it all the time. Nicole is doing her best to make sure that everything runs smooth at home and she is doing a dang good job. If there is an award for best mom, I know she'd win hands down. I'm just chuggin along with school. It is pretty ironic growing up with all sisters and then having all girls. I am having to watch Barbie movies, which are almost as action packed as the Transformer cartoons. (ya right) However, we wouldn't trade these munchkins for the world. Anyway, enough said. We hope everyone is doing well.

Good News
Hi everyone! I just wanted to share our good news. My parents, Jay and Janice Cluff, have been called to the Milwaukee, Wisconsin Mission. They report February 25 to the MTC and will drive out to Wisconsin the second week of March.
I also thought I should post a newer picture of my family. This is a picture taken last weekend at The Alamo in San Antonio.

I feel like the Record-Breaker!
Hey everyone! It's so good to heard from all of you! Troy and I have 4 kids with one more on the way (That's right folks, count'em!) Mike is 8, Sam is 6, Debora is 4 and Emma is 2. We love them a lot! We are living in Sierra Vista, AZ, just a few minutes from the Mexican Border. Troy is in the Border Patrol, and I am a stay-at-home mom. I did spend last summer teaching free community art lessons out of my home, but frankly I am way too busy to do a whole lot more! We have spent the past few years traveling all over, some of the fun ones: San Antonio, TX, Indianapolis, IN, Monterey, CA, and now here! Troy was in the National Guard, and we traveled a lot for his training. That's probably me in a nutshell (or maybe as a nutcase, ha, ha, ha...!) For those of you who are not familiar with Sanpete "news", my dad is fighting apendicidal cancer. He's a great man! I know a lot of you know him from Snow College, so I thought someone might want to know. Anyway, life is very good, and we are very happy!

Hey this is awesome!
Hi, everyone! This is great, I've been wondering what everyone's been up to, but haven't done anything about finding out. It's neat to see everyone's families. It's still just me and my cats -- yes, 30, and it's just me and two cats. How cliche is that? Especially for a writer! :) I'm going back to school to do a degree in graphic arts, since a bachelor's in folklore gets you really great jobs as a customer service representative. Definitely time for a career change. If I could just find a publisher . . .
Well, I'll be adding this blog to my favorites, that's for sure. I've got a personal blog at charitylund.blogspot.com, if anyone's interested. See ya!

Everything's Up to Date in Kansas City
We've been enjoying living in Kansas City for the past four years. I've been working full time managing a department of the local four star hotel and and just finishing up my MBA as well. While here in Kansas City I've enjoyed becoming addicted to smoking...meat that is. I am a member of a competition BBQ team and have won national competitions. Let me just tell you you have never tasted ribs til you've tasted mine!
My wife Maggie and I now have two kids, ages 8 and 6. Patrick was just baptized last month. We've enjoyed hosting a couple of you-all as you have come this way to visit church sites or for cross country moves. Our door is always open!

My Little Family
It's been so fun to ready everyone's posts and see what you're all up to! Caspersons, Ashley, Joel, and Scott it's been a LONG time! Ang, Amy, & Karen I am lucky to either see or keep in contact with fairly regularly! My last post I just included a picture of my little angel Brynlie, but after her blessing we were able to snag a pic of my little family so I thought I'd add it on here! I'm excited to stay in touch!

hello from Connecticut
Amy thanks for rubbing in the 30+. I thought I would never reach 30 because that meant you were old. Well the definition of "old" has been redefined now. It is fun to see that many of our classmates are scattered all over the world.
I have to say I haven't really seen or kept in touch with anyone from our class. So it is fun to read and see what you are up to. I was in the same ward at the UofU with Scott Grindstaff and his wife five years ago which was fun. Anyone know where they are? I lost track of them.
Status report for me: stay at home mom of three crazy monkeys (7.5 yr old boy, almost 5 yr old girl and 15 month old boy). We are currently living in Connecticut but we are moving back to Utah in June. It is hard to believe, we really wanted anything but Utah but alas different plans were in store. Anyway my husband is finishing up his medical residency in Otolaryngology (Ears, Nose, Throat) and he has joined a practice in Murray. I will be returning to the UofU to finish up my bachelor's in fine arts in the Fall. I have fallen in love with photography so that is my new passion. When I was pregnant with my 3rd I had the opportunity to travel to Chennai, India to take pictures for a charity organization (Pathway). I love India and hope that I can go back soon. Well, that's it in a nutshell. I hope more will post. Thanks Angela for organizing this blog.

Hello all you 30 and older. Can you believe it's been almost 13 years? It is so good to see the blogs everyone has put on. It's really fun to see what everyone is up to.
As for us, life keeps moving very rapidly. Dave and I currently live in Orem but looking to buy a home of our own. We like it in the city so we would like to get a place in Utah County somewhere. We have our two little girls, Paityn who is 4 1/2 and Andee who is 1 1/2. They are the cutest things ever if you ask me! I am teaching first grade at Cherry Creek Elementary in Springville. It's definitely a rewarding career but one that is full of surprises like finding two little boys kissing eachother in the back of the room. Yes, that's right, two little boys. This is my 8th year and I feel like a veteran now. Dave is currently employed in Salt Lake at ARUP laboratories as a chemist. He finished school last year and now has a bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. He's looking at returning to school to receive his master's degree. Who would have thunk!
So there's a little bit of our lives. We do make it to Manti quite often for obvious reasons and love seeing a few familiar faces when we do, and sometimes some faces we haven't seen in a long time. It's always fun to hit Wal-Mart and see a few.
Keep the posts coming!
Dave and Amy
